- A very feint smell of blood seeps through a tightly folded parchment ceiled along the opening edge with a black image of a dagger. "Suffer not Alone" are very delicately signed across the front face of the parchment fold-
The road that I have been travelling to this point has been filled with spectacular creatures and unfamiliar territory. The signs of the use of Shadow energies cover this land like the veiled sea stretches between our own world. I feel almost empowered by the Shadow's presence.
I have found that while in combat with the creatures of these areas I have felt near loss of control. Throughout my practice of the Shadow I have learned to respect the powers and to maintain a balance within myself to not fully ascend. I have done what is necessary in these areas and exited them quickly. There is much to be learned in this land.
I have attached maps of the areas I have found of most interest to our search for Shadow powers. I've taken into consideration that the most powerful locations are occupied by hostile forces of the Shadow Council and Sethekk followers. These maps consist of Frostfire Ridge and Spires of Arak.
Frostfire Ridge is a frozen wasteland though I have found an altar to the Southeast of the Garrison which is consistent with those used by the Shadow Council Orcs to the Northwest in Icescar Boneyard. The other major sources of Shadow in Frostfire I have found in the Icescar Boneyard which is still occupied by hostile forces.
While in Spires of Arak I have located the Alliance encampment marked with a blood colored X (no wonder the parchment wields the feint smell) to the Southwest of Axefall. Bladefist Hold to the Northeast of Axefall does not contain a presence of Shadow energies though overwhelmed with the Orcs which I have also marked with a blood colored X.
The wildvine colored markings are the locations of Shadow alters or habitats that are either non hostile or not inhabited. Those may prove of use to us. Between Veil Zekk and Veil Terrok. If possible we could seek a temporary use of locations inhabited at Veil Terrok and Crow's Crook. Though what we do there will be viewed by anyone that should pass through those travel locations.
The markings over Sethekk Hollow to the Northeast is overwhelming with Shadow energies though occupied by the Sethekk Outcasts. Very hostile location. Would need an occupation by force to get use out of this area
I have been tasked to move operations to Nagrand though at your will I will return to what duties you may have for me.
Below is a "key" on what I have marked on the maps.
Amethyst X: Shadow presence w/non hostile inhabitants
Blood X: Hostile inhabitants w/o Shadow presence
Blood + Wildvine X: Shadow presence w/Hostile inhabitants
